I've posted mostly about high-end makeup lately so here's something more affordable. I just received my order from Sleek and I got I Divine palettes in Storm, Sunset and PPQ (9€/each), blush in Rose Gold (7€) and Pout Polishes in Pink Cadillac and Electric Peach (7€/each). Shipping within Europe was 9€. I will take swatches of the eyeshadow palettes when I write about them individually.

Which one of these would you like to hear more about first?

Guerlain Meteorites Cruel Gardenia Illuminating Iridescent Powder 9g

First of all, isn't this just the prettiest product out there? I've seen some really nice packaging but in this case the actual product is so beautiful, that it makes me not want to use it and ruin the pattern. Guerlain Meteorites Cruel Gardenia is from 2012 Spring collection and it's currently sold out in most places, despite of it's extremely high price - 66€. I went to the store, swatched it and then thought it's way too expensive for a highlighter and walked out. Later I went to a different makeup store, swatched it again and still decided not to get it. Hours later right before I was going to leave the mall, I went back to the first store and bought it after all.

Guerlain Meteorites Cruel Gardenia is a very pigmented highlighter, I like the consistency because it's not too powdery and you only need to use a little of it. The shade is cool pale pink that isn't too shimmery, and it looks iridescent. Guerlain Cruel Gardenia surprised me with the fact that it actually looks very natural on the skin, that's a good thing for me, since I have a tendency of overdosing with highlighter. I normally prefer highlighters with warm undertone, but now that I've used this I noticed that it makes my face look more fresh. Overall grade: 8 (the price is just too high for a single product).

Kun käveli ensin sisään kauppaan ja kokeilin tuotetta, päätin että se on aivan liian kallis hohtopuuteriksi ja kävelin ulos. Myöhemmin menin toiseen kauppaan, kokeilin taas ja kävelin ulos. Tunteja myöhemmin, kun olin lähtemässä jo kotiin päätin mennä takaisin ensimmäiseen kauppaan ja ostaa tuotteen.

Guerlain Meteorites Cruel Gardenia on hyvin pigmentoitu hohtopuuteri. Pidän koostumuksesta, koska se ei ole liian puuterimainen eikä sitä tarvitse käyttää paljon kerrallaan. Sävy on viileä vaalea pinkki joka ei ole liian kiiltävä, lisäksi sävy vivahtaa vähän muihinkin väreihin, kuten beigeen ja lilaan. Guerlain Cruel Gardenia yllätti minut siinä, että runsaasta pigmentistä huolimatta se näyttää kasvoilla luonnolliselta, joka on hyvä asia minun kannalta koska minulla on tapana välillä yliannostella hohtotuotteita. Käytän yleensä lämpimän sävyisiä hohtotuotteita, mutta tätä käyttäessä huomaan, että se saa kasvoni näyttämään raikkaammalta. Arvosana: 8 (hinta on liikaa yksittäiselle tuotteelle).

The prettiest nailpolish from Nfu-Oh

Nfu-oh flakies 52

Right after writing about the worst nail polish ever, here's the prettiest I've tried in a while. I didn't think I'd ever call a bright purple pretty but Nfu-oh flakie 52 is exactly that. 52 is a very interesting shade of purple with multichrome flakes.

The nail polish looks completely different in different lighting and looking from different angles, which makes it very interesting. Nfu-oh 52, like most flakies, is a very sheer nail polish, so it's best layered on another nail polish.In pictures I used it alone (3 coats) and it actually covered pretty well. It was really hard to get good pictures of the nail polish, it looks a lot cooler in real life. Nfu-oh 52 dried slowly, and it took quite thick coats to get an even and covering finish. Overall grade (1-10): 8

Have you tried any Nfu-oh nail polishes or other flakies?

Heti huonoimman kynsilakan perään kirjoitellaan näteimmästä kynsilakasta, mitä olen kokeillut aikoihin. En uskonut, että sanoisin koskaan kirkkaan violettiä nätiksi, mutta Nfu-oh flakies-kynsilakka on juuri sitä. 52 on todella mielenkiintoisen näköinen violetti kynsilakka, jossa on monivivahteisia lastuja (?). Kynsilakka näyttää erilaiselta eri valaistuksessa ja eri kulmista katsottuna, mikä tekee siitä todella jännän. Nfu-oh 52, kuten muut flakies-lakat toimivat parhaiten jonkun toisen kynsilakan päällä. Kuvissa käytin vain 3 kerrosta Nfu-oh 52:sta, joka peitti kynnen melko hyvin. Tästä kynsilakasta oli vaikea saada hyviä kuvia, joten se näyttää oikeassa elämässä vielä paljon hienommalta. Nfu-oh 52 kuivui hitaasti ja sitä joutui laittammaan aika paksuja kerroksia,jotta sai tasaisen ja peittävän lopputuloksen. Arvosana (1-10): 8

The worst nail polish I've tried + Pictures

Most of my reviews are about the products that I like, but here's one that was a complete waist of money. It's Lumene Natural Code nail polish in Trouble Maker (about 4€). I bought it because it looked really pretty in the bottle, it's dark grey with small golden glitter.

I'm glad it wasn't too expansive, since I'm not gonna use it again. First of all the smell is horrible, yes even for a nail polish and it didn't go away for hours. I used 3 coats of it and it still didn't cover my nails, which is understandable with some special nail polishes, but not with a regular one. On one nail I applied 4 coats, but it didn't make any difference, so I gave up. The color looked weird on my nails, not like in the bottle.

I gotta say that Lumene is one brand thats makeup has been most disappointing for me. The mascaras don't do anything for my lashes, eyshadows have no pigment, foundations don't cover and feel heavy, skincare products don't work for me. The only Lumene product I've liked so far is Natural Code eye pencil in Peach. Overall grade (1-10): 1 ( I gave it 1 because the bottle looks pretty).

Ostin kynsilakan, koska sävy näytti nätiltä pullossa, se on tummanharmaa jossa on pientä kultaista kimalletta.

Onneksi kynsilakka ei ollut liian hintava, koska en tule käyttämään sitä uudestaan. Ensinnäkin se haisi todella pahalle, jopa kynsilakaksi. Haju pysyi asunnossani tunteja. Käytin Lumene Natural Code Trouble Makeria 3 kerrosta eikä se siltikään peittänyt kynsiäni. Yhteen kynteen laitoin 4 kerrosta, mutta se ei siltikään peittänyt, joten luovutin. Sävy näytti oudolta kynsissäni, eikä samalta kuin pullossa.

Minun täytyy sanoa, että Lumene on yksi merkki, jonka tuotteisiin olen lähes aina joutunut pettymään. Ripsivärit eivät tee ripsilleni mitään, luomiväreissä ei ole pigmenttiä, meikkivoiteet eivät peitä ja tuntuvat raskaalta, ihonhoitotuotteet eivät toimi minulla mitenkään. Ainut Lumenen tuote, josta olen pitänyt tähän mennessä on Natural Code silmämeikkikynä sävyssä Peach. Arvosana (1-10): 1 (annoin yhden pisteen, koska pullo näyttää kivalta).

I got myself Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in 130, which is a medium-light shade with red undertones. It's just a little too dark for me, but it will be fine for summer time or when I use self-tanning creams.

Here's another product that has got a lot of good review in beauty blogs, and here's another one. Make Up For Ever HD is a great foundation with all the properties you can look for in a foundation. It covers almost perfectly, still looks natural, feels light and also looks good in pictures. It's not too matte and doesn't look oily easily. Doesn't have a strong smell. What else? It's long-lasting and buildable. The only downside is that I had to use quite a lot of it at once, so it probably won't last very long. And oh yeah, it's too expensive (close to 50€). Overall grade (1-10): 8

Hankin itselleni Make Up For Ever HD meikkivoiteen sävyssä 130, joka on punasävyinen keskivaalea. Sävy on pikkasen liian tumma minulle, mutta sopii varmasti kesäksi tai kun käytän itseruskettavaa.

Make Up For Ever HD on taas yksi meikkituote, joka on saanut hirveästi hyviä arvosteluja kauneusblogeissa, tässä on yksi niistä. Tässä on kaikki yleisimmät meikkivoiteelta etsityt ominaisuudet. Se peittää melkein täydellisesti, näyttää kuitenkin luonnolliselta kasvoilla, tuntuu kevyeltä ja lisäksi näyttää hyvältä kuvissa. Make Up For Ever HD ei ole liian matta muttei jätä kasvoja kiiltäväksi. Tuoksu ei ole mitenkään voimakas. Mitä muuta? Se on myös pitkäkestoinen ja helppo kerrostaa. Ainut miinuspuoli tässä on se, että tätä joutui käyttämään aika paljon kerrallaan, purkki ei siis kestä pitkään. Ai niin, tämä on myös liian kallis (lähemmäs 50€). Arvosana (1-10): 8

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr Eyeshadow Tough As Taupe

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr eyeshadows are only available in the US. I got this cream eyeshadow in Tough As Taupe because for some reason I've been obsessed with taupe eyeshadows lately.

I heard that Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr eyeshadows are supposed to be very long-lasting and that they don't grease. I haven't seen a cream eyeshadow that doesn't grease on my eyes before, so I thought I'd give it a try. And guess what? It did grease, within 1 hour.
The shade Tough As Taupe is a matte greyish taupe. I didn't like the color that much either. But when I applied Ulta's shimmery taupe eyeshadow in Organza on top of this, it looked great and didn't grease at all. The lines in the picture are not from greasing, it's just my eyes.

Which look do you prefer, Maybelline Tough As Taupe or Tough As Taupe + Organza?

Korjatkaa minua jos olen väärässä, mutta mielestäni Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr luomivärit ovat saatavilla pelkästään Yhdysvalloissa. Hankin itselleni sävyn Tough As Taupe koska minulla on viime aikoina jostain syystä ollut pakkomielle taupe sävyisiin luomiväreihin.

Kuulin, että Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr luomivärit ovat todella pitkäkestoisia eivätkä kerääntyy luomivakoon. En ole aikasemmin nähnyt voidemaista luomiväriä, joka ei kerääntyisi minun käytössä luomivakoon, joten ajattelin ihan mielenkiinnosta kokeilla tätä. Arvatkaa mitä, se kerääntyi luomivakoon alle tunnissa.
Sävy Tough As Taupe on matta harmaahko taupe. En myöskään pitänyt luomivärin sävystä kauheasti. Mutta, kun kokeilin Ultan hohtavaa taupen sävyistä luomiväriä Organza lopputulos näytti kauniilta, ja luomiväri pysyi hyvin päivän loppuun asti. Juonet kuvassa johtuvat silmistäni, eivätkä siitä että luomiväri olisi kerääntynyt luomivakoon.

Kummasta silmämeikistä te tykkäätte enemmän, Maybelline Tought As Taupe vai Tough As Taupe+Organza?

For this look I wore China Glaze Ring of Red glitter polish on Chanel Rouge Noir glossy creme. Alone, Rouge Noir is a little to dark for my taste, but I really like this combination.

Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Spray Mousse (about 15€)

I have very thin northern hair that has no volume at all. Because of that, I'm always looking for thickening and volumizing hair products. This time I tried Root Pump Spray Mousse from Big Sexy Hair.

I sprayed the product on my roots (in towel-dry hair), blow dried and then brushed my hair. I was surprised when this product actually gave volume to my hair. Even hours later my hair looked voumized and felt thicker than normally. BUT Big Sexy Hair Root Pump made my hair feel dirty and look dull, even when I applied less of it. Most volumizing products that actually work do that, so I wasn't really surprised. Still, if I just want to get volume in my hair and don't care about the dirty feeling, I'd rather use Tigi Big&Bigger volumizing foam for better results. Overall grade (1-10): 7

Suihkutin tuotetta hiusjuuriini (kosteisiin hiuksiin), sen jälkeen föönasin ja harjasin hiukset. Olin yllättynyt siitä, että Big Sexy Hair Root Pump oikeasti lisäsi hiusteni tuuheutta melko paljon. Jopa tunteja myöhemmin hiukseni näyttivät tuuheilta ja tuntuivat paksummilta. MUTTA tämä tuote teki hiuksistani likaisen tuntuiset eivätkä ne näyttäneet kiiltäviltä niinku yleensä. Hiukset tuntuivat likaisilta silloinkin kun käytin vähemmän tuotetta. Suurin osa toimivista tuuheuttavista hiustuotteista tekee niin, joten en ollut yllättynyt. Silti, jos haluan hiuksiini tuuheutta enkä välitä likaisuuden tunteesta, käytän mieluummin Tigin Big&Biggeria, jolla saan paremman lopputuloksen. Arvosana (1-10): 7

I made this smoky eye makeup with Dior's 2011 Holiday palette in Blue tie 001 Smoking Blue. The original review of this palette is here. I like the palette a lot, only thing is that it's a little boring since all the shades are so similar. Blue Tie palette is the perfect smoky eye palette.

Tein seuraavan meikin Diorin 2011 Holiday Blue tie 001 Smoking Blue paletilla. Tässä on enemmän juttua paletista sinänsä. Pidän paletista paljon, harmi vaan että se on vähän tylsän näköinen, kun kaikki sävyt ovat aika samankaltaisia. Blue Tie paletti on loistava smoky eye meikkiin.

Chanel Le Vernis nail polish 18 Rouge Noir (2 coats)

Here's a classic nail polish from Chanel, Rouge Noir 18. Uma Thurman wore this color in Pulp Fiction, and after that this nail polish has been extremely popular. It's available in the States in 18 Vamp, which is not the same color though.

The color is dark gothic red, it was made to look like dried blood and if you only apply 1 coat then it does. The nail polish has a great quality, can't wonder why Chanel nail polishes are so popular. It dries quickly, is very glossy and lasts long. I only needed 2 coats to cover my nails completely.

Tässä on Chanelin klassikko kynsilakka sävyssä 18 Rouge Noir. Uma Thurman käytti tätä sävyä elokuvassa Pulp Fiction, jonka jälkeen kynsilakka on ollut todella suosittu. Yhdysvalloista tästä on saatavilla sävy 18 Vamp, joka ei kylläkään ole ihan sama sävy.

Rouge Noir on tumma goottipunainen, sävyn on tarkoitus jäljittää kuivunutta verta, yhden lakkakerroksen jälkeen se näyttääkin siltä. Chanelin Rouge Noir 18 on todella laadukas, kuten monet muut Chanelin kynsilakoista. Kynsilakka kuivuu nopeasti, jättää kiiltavan pinnan ja kestää pitkään. Tarvitsin vain 2 kerrosta, peittävään lopputulokseen. En ihmettele miksi Chanelin kynsilakat ovat niin suosittuja.

I did this eye makeup with Inglot AMC 08, Pearl 409 and AMC 31 eyeshadows. Like I said before I just love Inglot eyeshadows. Super pigmented, soft, plendable and long-lasting. And did I mention CHEAP (5€/pc). The only bad thing about these might be that they are a little too soft, which means they might break easily.

Tein seuraavan meikin Inglot AMc 08, Pearl 409 ja AMC 31 luomiväreillä. Kuten sanoin aiemmin, niin rakastan Inglotin luomivärejä. Ne ovat todella runsaspigmenttisiä, pehmeitä, helppoja häivyttää ja pitkäkestoisia. Ja kaiken lisäksi halpoja (5€/kpl). Ainoa huono puoli Inglotin luomiväreissä taitaa olla se, että ne ovat liiankin pehmeitä, eli saattavat hajota helposti.

So I decided to put my long-lasting lipsticks to test, to see which one lasts the longest. The lipsticks I compared are (L-R): Sensai The Lipstick in 04 Imayou, Estee Lauder All Day lipstick in 82 Radiance, Max Factor Lipfinity in 150, Bourjois Hi-tech lip tint in Rouge Futuriste, and non long-lasting lipstick Korres Mango lipstick in 52 Orange Red.

Here are the lipsticks few minutes after applying and then after eating, rinsing my mouth with water and drying with a napkin (U-D) :Sensai, Estee Lauder, Max Factor, Bourjois, Korres):

As you can see, Estee Lauder All Day lipstick and Korres Mango lipstick are completely gone. There's some color left with Bourjois lip tint and Sensai The Lipstick. Only one of the lipsticks really lasted through it all and the winner is Max Factor Lipfinity in 150. And see this, here's Lip Finity after rubbing my lips with a make up remover:

Max Factor Lipfinity literally lasts until you take it off, and I had to use waterproof eye makeup remover to get it off. Using it daily might be a little hard on lips, but if you sometimes need to use a lipstick that lasts trough the whole day without adding or correcting it then Lipfinity is the right one. It comes with a lip gloss, but I prefer the matte look with this one.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Siberia

Nars Sheer Glow foundation has had many good reviews over the internet, so I decided to try it. I got it in Siberia, which is the lightest shade. First of all I have to say that this shade is way too light for me, I keep overestimating my paleness.

Anyway Nars Sheer Glow seems to be a quite nice foundation, it looks natural and glowing on the skin, but this also covers really well. The consistency is quite thick, so this is not one of those foundations that just melts in your skin. Nars Sheer Glow leaves my skin feeling really soft, even after washing it off my skin feels softer than usually. The foundation wasn't particularly long-lasting, I would say pretty much average lasting. Overall grade (1-10): 7

Refectocil permanent eyelash&eyebrow tint

There's not many beauty rituals that I MUST do regularly, but here's one. For many years I've been dyeing my lashes and eyebrows after every 2-3 weeks. Like many northern people I have very light lashes and eyebrows, without makeup they are barely noticeable. Permanent tinting is a great way to get long lasting color to your lashes and eyebrows.The color lasts until your own eyebrows/lashes grow out. Eyelash and eyebrow tinting costs about 10-15€/one time in beauty salons, refectocil supplies cost about the same and last for many many tintings.

I have tried Dylash, Swiss O Par and Depend tints, but non of them are as good as Refectocil. Only Refectocil gives me an intensive and permanent result in just 10 minutes. It's easy to use, all you have to do is mix the tint and a developer in a bowl and apply it on your eyebrows and/or lashes, wait 10 minutes and wash it off. The packages include more specific instructions. It's pretty much like dyeing your hair. They have several colors, I usually use brown on my eyebrows and blue/black on my lashes, but I'm out of both of them so this time I used black for both.

On my eyes the result is not quite so dramatic, since I dye my lashes and eyebrows regularly. Right after dyeing, there might be some color on your skin (see my eyebrows), but that fades away in 2 days and the result will be more natural. Overall grade (1-10): 9

Kulmien ja ripsien kestovärjäys on ainut kauneusrituaali jota minun on pakko tehdä säännöllisesti. Olen useiden vuosien ajan värjännyt ripsiäni ja kulmiani 2-3 viikon välein. Minulla, kuten monilla pohjoismaalaisilla on vaaleat ripset ja kulmat, ilman meikkiä niitä ei juurikaan huomaa. Kestovärjäys on helppo tapa saada pitkäkestoista väriä ripsiin ja/tai kulmakarvoihin. Väri kestää, kunnes omat karvat kasvavat ulos. Kauneushoitoloissa kestovärjäys maksaa n. 10-15€/kerta, Refectocil tarvikkeet saa suunnilleen samaan hintaan ja niistä riittää moniin käyttökertoihin.

Olen kokeillut Dylash, Swiss O Par ja Depend kestovärejä, mutta mielestäni mikään näistä ei vedä vertoja Refectocilille. Vain Refectocil antaa minulle pitkäkestoisen ja intensiivisen värin 10 minuutissa. Kestoväriä on helppo käyttää, väriä ja hapetinta sekoitetaan kulhossa, levitetään ripsille 10 minuutiksi ja sitten pestään pois. Paketissa on myös tarkemmat ohjeet. Näitä myydään eri värejä, käytän yleensä ruskeata kulmiin ja sinimustaa ripsiin, mutta molemmat ovat loppuneet ja käytin tällä kertaa mustaa molempiin.

Minun silmissäni ero ei näytä niin dramaattiselta, koska värjään ripsiäni ja kulmiani säännöllisesti. Heti värjäyksen jälkeen väriä saattaa jäädä iholle (katso minun kulmakarvat), se kuitenkin kuluu parissa päivässä ja lopputulos on luonnollisempi. Arvosana (1-10): 9

Lumene Natural Code Eye Dramatizer eye pencil 12 Peach

This is one of my must-have makeup product. When I go out I usually only wear mascara and sometimes black eyepencil, but Lumene Natural Code Eye Dramatizer in Peach is one product that I always use too. It's a very versatile product, I mostly use it in my inner corners and on my brow bones but you can also use it as a highlighter anywhere on the face. It's easy to blend, long-lasting and brings light to the face without looking all made up. Lumene Natural Code Eye Dramatizer in Peach is a great shade, it's a light peachy color that looks really natural. This is the only eye pencil that I've pretty much finished. This costs 4,90€, not bad for such a great product. Overall grade (1-10): 9, if it was waterproof it would get 10.

Nars Melusine eyeshadow duo

This is the first Nars eyeshadow duo that I got. It's Melusine from the 2010 Holiday collection (35€). And I gotta say I like it. The silver/purple shade is metallic and the purple shade is matte. I'm not a fan of matte eyeshadows, because they are often hard to blend and it takes some effort to get them to look even. This purple though was really easy to use. I did the eye makeup very quickly and still it looked soft and even. Nars Melusine eyeshadow duo is very pigmented and as I've noticed easy to use and blend. What's really important is that they look the same on the eye as in the palette. I was a little intimidated by the purple shade at first, but it looks pretty nice. Nars Melusine lasted well, few hours before greasing (usually eyeshadows grease within 30minutes in my eyes). Based on this eyeshadow duo I'm really interested in trying other Nars eyeshadows, if they are as good as this one, they might be a good competitor for Inglot eyeshadows. My overall grade (1-10): 9

Näinkin kirkkaan lila oli mielestäni aluksi vähän pelottava sävy, mutta tuon epämääräisen hopean/lilan kanssa se näyttää ihan kivalta. Luomivärit kestivät silmissä hyvin, muutamia tunteja kerääntymättä luomivakoon (yleensä luomivärit kerääntyy minulla luomivakoon 30 minutissa). Nars Melusine paletin perusteella haluaisin kokeilla muitakin Narsin luomivärejä, jos muutkin ovat yhtä laadukkaita, niin ne saattaisivat olla hyviä haastajia Inglotin luomiväreille (hinta 35€). China Glaze Tinsel Town nail polish is limited edition from 2011 Holiday collection. It's dark grey/black with different size silver glitter. It takes 2 coats of Tinsel Town for full coverage. China Glaze Tinsel Town is very glittery and shiny (extremely hard to take off). I was a little disappointed when I first tried this, because I was hoping it was more black, but it's more grey/dark silver. After few times I started liking it. Overall grade (1-10): 6

I got a GWP-size bottle of Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation in 03, which is pretty neutral medium light color. This claims to be long lasting, 14h without retouch and oil free.

I really like this foundation. It just absorbs into skin and you can't even tell if you're wearing any makeup at all. The finish with Lancome Teint Idole Ultra is quite matte, so you might not even need to use a powder with this. Then again it's not too covering, so if you're looking for a full coverage this might not be for you. Lancome Teint Idole foundation is extremely long lasting, even after 8 hours I didn't see any signs of fading or greasing. My skin is very dry, but with this you couldn't see the dry patches on my face at all. My overall grade for this (1-10): 8

Sain näytepurkin Lancome Teint Idole Ultra meikkivoiteesta, sävyssä 03. Sävy on mielestäni aika neutraali keski-vaalea ja sopii hyvin oman ihoväriini. Tämän sanotaan kestävän 14 tuntia korjaamatta ja olevan öljyvapaa.

China Glaze Ruby Pumps

Again here's a very popular product. Probably the most popular of China Glaze nail polishes. And again I definitelty understand the hype. Whenever I use this nail polish I just can't help but admire my nails. China Glaze Ruby Pumps is a beautiful red polish with red glitter. For some reason it just looks amazing on my nails. It's very long-lasting and only takes 2 coats to cover the nail.

Taas puhutaan erittäin suositusta tuotteesta. Kyseessä on China Glaze Ruby Pumps kynsilakka. Ymmärrän hyvin miksi tämä on niin suosittu. Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver balm SPF10

Here's the first lip product that I've actually been able to finish. And this is the second one! Ok, I have to say that these don't last very long if used frequently :(. Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver balm SPF10 is a color-changing lip treatment that reacts with the skins pH and changes into an unique pink shade.

I just love this product, it gives my lips a nice glowing pink shade. This lip balm is also moisturizing and has a SPF which is a plus. Even after the balm has worn off, the pink shade still remains on the lips. Dior Addict Lip Glow is especially nice in the summer time.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver balm SPF10 on ainut huulituote, jonka olen saanut kulumaan loppuun. Itseasiassa tämä on jo toinen. Ok, täytyy sanoa että ei tämä kauhean kauan kestä, jos käyttää säännöllisesti. Diorin Lip Glow reagoi ihon pH:n kanssa ja muuttuu huulilla käyttäjän ihonsävyyn sopivaksi vaaleanpunaiseksi.

Olen rakastunut tähän tuotteeseen, se antaa huulilleni kivan hohtavan vaaleanpunaisen lopputuloksen. Dior Addict Lip Glow huulivoide on myös kosteuttava ja siinä on auringonsuojakerroin. Vaikka huulirasva olisi jo kulunut huulilta, niin huulille jää silti pinkki väri. Tämä tuote on erityisen ihana kesällä.

Can you tell which nails are painted with high end and which with drugstore nail polishes?

I painted each nail with a different nail polish, some high end some drugstore to really see the difference in quality. Here's my thoughts of the polishes:

The nail polish spreads unevenly and the color looks a little cheap. Covers well. Dries slowly.
The color is nice, doesn't cover at all.
Nice coverage, like the color. Dries slowly.
Nice color, the best coverage of all 10, and the most even finish.
Pretty good coverage, doesn't spread evenly.
Covers the whole nail, spreads very evenly. Dries slowly.
The color looks cheap and doesn't cover much.
Doesn't cover much, maybe would work as a top polish.
Spreads evenly, it's a sheer shade so it's not supposed to cover.
Even finish, covers nicely and dries pretty fast.

MAC Mineralize eyeshadow Two to Glow

Here's MAC Limited Edition Mineralize eyeshadow duo in Two to Glow (22$). I didn't expect this to be very pigmented, but compared The Body Shop Baked-To-Last eyeshadows, this is well pigmented. These are not quite as well pigmented as other MAC eyeshadows, but there's only a small difference. The dark purple shade has some pink lines in it, so you might get a little different effects using this. MAC Mineralize in Two to Glow greased quite easily on my eyelids, so I would recommend using an eyeshadow primer. I like both shades, the darker shade is a little weird, sometimes it looks dark purple, sometimes grey and sometimes even brownish. All in all it's a mediocre eyeshadow.
I didn't use eyeshadow primer for pictures.

Have you tried MAC mineralize eyeshadows?

Tässä on MAC Limited edition Mineralize luomiväriduo sävyssä Two to Glow (ovh n. 22$). En uskonut tässä luomivärissä olevan paljonkaan pigmenttiä, mutta esim. verrattuna The Body Shopin Baked-To-Last luomiväreihin MACissa on aika hyvin pigmenttiä. Muissa MAC luomiväreissä on kuitenkin paremmin pigmenttiä. Tämä kerääntyi minulla helposti luomivakoon, joten kannattaa käyttää luomivärin pohjustusta. MAC Mineralize Two to Glow luomiväriduossa on ihan kivat sävyt. Tumma sävy on vähän outo, koska se näyttää välillä liilalta, välillä harmaalta tai ruskealta. Loppujenlopuksi tämä on ihan keskinkertainen luomiväri.

Becca Fallen Angel Palette Sunrise lip gloss/Nectar lip&cheek cream/Narcissus highlighter

This is Becca Holiday 2010 Limited Edition palette in Fallen Angel (45$). The palette contains a lipgloss in Sunrise, lip&cheek cream in Nectar and highlighter in Narcissus. This is the only Becca product that I've tried, actually before buying this I've never even heard of the brand.

Like I've mentioned before, I don't really like non-pigmented lip glosses. Sunrise lip gloss looks almost clear on lips, but it looks really pretty and natural.
Lip&cheek cream in Nectar has a really thin consistency and that's why I like it. I don't like thick and creamy cheek creams, because they leave my cheeks sticky and spread uneven. This cheek cream is soft and spreads nicely, it also looks really natural. I haven't tried it on my lips yet, but I'm sure it works on lips too. Great product!
The creamy highlighter is my least favorite of these 3, the consistency is too soft. It's hard to sweep it with a finger without getting too much product and messing up the pan. The color is nice though.
Becca Fallen Angel palette is quite pricey for 1,3g/each, luckily I got it from a blog sale for 4€.

Tämä on ensimmäinen Beccan tuote mitä olen kokeillut, enkä ollut ennen tämän ostamista kuullutkaan merkistä.

Kuten olen maininnut aikasemmin, en pidä värittömistä vähäpigmenttisistä huulikiilloista. Sunrise näyttää lähes värittömältä, se on kuitenkin tosi kaunis ja luonnollinen sävy.
Pidän kovasti Nectar-poskipunasta, koska toisin kuin monissa voidemaisissa poskipunissa tässä on ihanan kevyt ja silkkinen koostumus. Se levittyy tasaisesti eikä jätä poskia tahmeaksi. En ole vielä kokeillut tuotetta huulilla, mutta se toimii varmasti myös huulilla.
Pidän Narcissus-hohtovoiteesta vähiten. Siinä on liian pehmeä ja outo koostumus, kun sitä ottaa sormella niin tulee liikaa tuotetta ja koko nappi menee sekaisin. Tuotteen väri on kuitenkin kiva ja sopii vaalealle iholle.
Becca Fallen Angel paletti on melko kallis, kun ottaa huomioon, että yhdessä napissa on vain 1,3g tuotetta.

Guerlain KissKiss Laque lip gloss 722 Rouge Pin Up

I don't like lip glosses that are not pigmented, since the nude lips-look doesn't look good on me. I don't really wear bright lip colors either, but this might be great for someone that does. Guerlain KissKiss laque lip gloss in 722 is a nice sparkling pink with purple undertones. It's looks really glossy and shiny on lips. What I like about this lipgloss is that it's very pigmented, on lips it almost looks like you had bright lipstick on and lipgloss on top of it. Guerlain KissKiss Laque has a pretty thick consistency and it feels just a little sticky on lips.

En pidä huulikiilloista, joissa ei ole paljon pigmenttiä, koska nude-look ei mielestäni sovi huulilleni. En käytä yleensä kirkkaan värisiä huulituotteita, mutta tämä saattaisi olla hyvä jollekin joka niitä käyttää. Guerlain KissKiss Laque huulikiilto sävyssä 722 on kirkas kimalteleva pinkki, joka vivahtaa hieman violettiin. Huulilla tämä näyttää todella kiiltävältä. Pidän tästä huulikiillosta, koska siinä on hyvin pigmenttiä. Guerlain KissKiss Laque huulikiillossa on aika paksu koostumus ja siitä jää hieman tahmainen tunne huulille.

Nars Orgasm VS Benefit Coralista

Benefit Coralista & Nars trio Orgasm/Albatross/Laguna

Here are two popular high-end blushes: Benefit blush in Coralista and Nars blush in Orgasm. These blushes are similar, but I wouldn't call them dupes. They both cost about 28$, but Coralista is a little bigger. Nars Orgasm is more glowing and more coral while Benefit is more pink. In real life Coralista looks a litter lighter on the skin (unlike the picture below). Nars Orgasm also has golden shimmer in it while Coralista doesn't. In my opinion Benefit Coralista is a little more long-lasting than Orgasm.

Both blushes give a nice natural glowing finish and it's pretty hard to "blush overdose" with either of them.

Tässä on kaksi suosituimpaa poskipunaa, Benefit Coralista ja Nars Orgasm. Poskipunissa on yhteistä, mutten sanoisi että ne ovat ihan samanlaisia. Molemmat maksavat noin 28$, mutta Coralista on isompi. Nars Orgasm on hieman hohtavampi ja enemmän korallin sävyinen, kun taas Coralista on lähempänä vaaleanpunaista. Oikeasti Coralista näyttää iholla vähän vaaleammalta, toisin kuin alla olevassa kuvassa. Nars Orgasm-poskipunassa on kultaista hohtoa toisin kuin Coralistassa. Mielestäni Benefitin Coralista kestää vähän pidempään, kuin Orgasm.

Molemmat poskipunat jättävät luonnollisen hohtavan lopputuloksen, sikäli niiden kanssa on vaikea saavuttaa poskipunan yliannostusta.

Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eyepencils are really popular and have great reviews everywhere. I have 5 different shades of them: Corrupt,Eldorado,Zero,Bourbon and Graffiti.

Like their name says, all of the eyepencils effortlessly glided on my hand. But it wasn't as easy to apply them on my eyes, for me Urban Decay 24/7 eyepencils worked like any other creamy eyepencils - I had to glide them back and forth to get a nice finish. I tried all of them on my inner rims, but none of them except Zero gave me an intensive finish. Even Zero didn't look as black on my inner rims as Isadora Inliner, but it was ok. The absolutely best thing about Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on eyepencils is that they really are waterproof. They don't smudge and stay put for the whole day.

Nimensä mukaisesti Urban Decay 24/7 glide on rajauskynät liukuvat vaivattomasti, kun niitä kokeilee käteen. Silmien rajauksessa näitä pitää kuitenkin vetää edes-takaisin muutama kertaa. Kokeilin näitä kaikkia myös sisärajauksena, mutta pelkästään Zero näkytti intensiiviseltä. Sekään ei näyttänyt ihan yhtä mustalta kuin esim. Isadora Inliner, mutta oli ihan ok. Paras asia näissä kynissä on kuitenkin kestävyys. Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on silmänrajauskynät ovat todellakin vedenkestäviä, eivätkä leviä päivän mittaan.

I LOVE INGLOT

Tutustuin lähiaikoina Inglotin luomiväreihin ja nyt täytyy sanoa että löysin uuden lempi-merkin. Ainakin luomivärien perusteella, sarja vaikuttaa erittäin laadukkaalta! Luomiväreissä on paljon pigmenttiä, ne ovat pehmeitä ja helposti häivytettävissä, lisäksi Inglotin luomivärit kestävät pitkään. En käyttänyt näiden kanssa pohjustusta ja ne pysyi silti hyvinä monia tunteja. Inglotin luomivärit ovat parhaita mitä olen koskaan kokeillut, ja niitä on myös paljon eri sävyjä ja koostumuksia. Ostin Inglot freedom system-paletin, joka tarkoittaa, että valitset magneettisen paletin ja saat valita siihen itse haluamasi sävyt. Mikä loistava idea! Luomivärit maksoivat 5€/kpl ja paletti taisi olla 13€, luomivärithän ovat jopa halvempia kuin markettien merkit. En muista sävyjä, enkä jaksa kaivaa nappeja paletista ulos, mutta Inglotin nettisivuilta näkee kaikki sävyt mitä niiltä löytyy.

Oletteko kokeilleet Inglotin meikkejä?

I recenlty bought some Inglot eyeshadows and I have to say that I found my favorite makeup brand. At least based on the eyeshadows, Inglot makeup seems to have very good quality. Eyeshadows are very pigmented, soft and easily blendable, they also are long-lasting. I didn't use any primer with these and they still lasted for hours. Inglot eyeshadows are the best I've ever tried and there's a lot of shades and consistencies. I bought the Inglot freedom system-palette, which is a magnetic palette where you can choose the shades you like. What a great idea! Eyeshadows cost 5€ and the palette was 13€, these are even cheaper than the drugstore eyeshadows. I don't remember the shades but you can find them from Inglot website

This is China Glaze Strawberry Fields, it's a beautiful pink wih golden glimmer. I really like this nail polish, it's very close to OPI Rose-Alita. This covers well with only 2 coats, it's also long-lasting.

Dior Diorshow New Look Mascara 090 New Look Black

Ei voi muuta sanoa kuin uskomatonta! Ostin tänään Stockmannilta Dior Diorshow New Look mascaran, hintaan 39 €. Mietin monta kertaa pitäisikö tuhlata ripsiväriin niin paljon rahaa, kun kympilläkin saa ihan toimivan mascaran. Onneksi sisäinen meikkiaddiktini kuitenkin pakotti ostamaan tämän. Mascara on minun ykkös-meikkituote. En useinkaan käytä muuta meikkiä, kuin pelkästään ripsiväriä. Olen kokeillut noin 50 eri mascaraa, siinä toivossa, että löytäisin jotain parempaa kuin nykyinen ja ihan hyviä on löytynytkin.
MUTTA en ole millään ripsivärillä saanut näin dramaattista eroa omiin ripsiini, kuin tällä. Kuvissa se ei edes näy niin hyvin, kuin oikeassa elämässä. Olen nähnyt monia mascara-arvosteluita, jossa kokeilijalla on jo luonnostaan todella pitkät/paksut ripset ja sitten tietenkin mikä tahansa ripsiväri saa ne näyttämään vielä paremmalta. Mutta katsokaapas minun kuvia, en olisi uskonut että saan mascaralla sellaisen ripsipidennys-effektin (kuitenkaan näyttämättä hämähäkin jaloilta) olemattomiin ripsiini. Jos Diorshow New Look vielä hoitaakin ripsiä, kuten luvataan niin voiko tämän parempaa enää olla? :)

Aikooko joku muukin ostaa tämän/on jo kokeillut tätä?

I bought the new Dior Diorshow New Look Mascara for 39€, I wasn't sure if I should spend so much money on a mascara, but I'm glad I did. This is the best mascara that I've ever tried, from about 50 different mascaras. If this also treats lashes, like it says then it just couldn't get any better! Just see for yourself.

Noniin, nyt olen käyttänyt Lashfoodia tasan 1kk, 3 viikkoa aamuin ja illoin ja viikon ajan aamuisin Lashfoodia ja iltaisin Careprostia. Tässä ovat ennen ja jälkeen -kuvat. En tiedä huomaatteko te mitään muutosta, mutta itse olen huomannut kasvua ripsissä (Huom. ensimmäisessä kuvassa ripsien kestovärjäyksestä 3 viikkoa ja toisessa 2). Lisää kuvia myöhemmin!

I've used Lashfood for 1 month now, 3 weeks every night and morning and 1 week in the mornings and Careprost in the evenings. Here are the before and after pictures. I don't know if you can tell the difference, but I've noticed some growth in my lashes! (The lashes are a little darker in the second picture, because they are dyed more recently). I will add more pictures later!

Tilasin nämä kynsilakat head2toebeauty-nettikaupasta, yhden lakan hinnaksi postikuluineen tuli n. 3,60€ mikä ei ole todellakaan paha hinta Suomen hintoihin verrattuna ( +-10€). Pidän kaikista sävyistä (paitsi Holly-day ja Velvet bow) kovasti. Glitter-lakkoja laitoin 3 kerrosta ja muita 2. Kaikki muut paitsi Snow globe ovat minun kynsissäni kestäneet hyvin. China Glazen glitter-lakat ovat kauneimpia mitä olen koskaan nähnyt, varsinkin Medallion ja Nova.

I ordered these nail polishes from head2toebeauty-store, 1 nail polish cost me about 3,6€ including shipping. I love all the shades, except Holly-day and Velvet bow. I used 3 coats of glitter-polishes and 2 coats of others. All except Snow globe lasted long on my nails. These China Glaze glitter-nail polishes are the prettiest I've ever seen, epecially Medallion and Nova.

Which ones of these would you wanna hear more about and see more pictures?

Lancome La Rose Liberte 01 Magnifique Oridescence

Tässä on minun lempi kasvopuuteri. En käytä paljon puutereita, koska en pidä täysin matasta lopputuloksesta ja osa hohtopuutereita on taas liian hohtavia koko kasvoilla käytettäviksi. Lancome La Rose Liberte sävyssä 01 Magnifique Oridescence, on kuitenkin puuteri minun makuuni. Siinä on todella hienoista kultaista kimalletta, mutta on kuitenkin tarpeeksi puuterimainen eikä jätä kasvoja kiiltäviksi. Tällä saakin luonnollisen semi-matan lopputuloksen.

Mitä puutereita te käytätte?

Lancome La Rose Liberte in 01 Magnifique Oridescence (Limited edition) is my favorite face powder. I don't use much powders since I don't like the completely matte finish, and most highlighting powders are just too shimmery to use on the whole face. But Lancome La Rose Liberte in 01 Magnifique Oridescence is one powder that I like to use. It has subtle golden shimmer in it, but it's still powdery enought and doesn't leave your face greasy-looking. This gives me the semi-matte finish that I'm looking for.

Kun hankin nämä kynsilakat olin varma, että tykkäisin I'm Suzi & I'm a chocoholic-lakasta vähiten. Mutta nyt kun olen kokeillut kaikkia, se onkin ainoa näistä, josta pidän. I'm Suzi & I'm a chocoholic on kaunis, kiiltävä tumma tiilenpunainen. Se peitti kynnet täydellisesti kahdella kerroksella. Cuckoo For This Color on kimalteleva sinivihreä ja Bling Dynasty kimalteleva kulta. Molemmat ovat mielestäni aika heikkolaatuisia, edes kaksi kerrosta kynsilakkaa ei riittänyt peittämään kunnolla (kts. kuvat). En myöskään pitänyt väreistä.

Täytyy sanoa, etten ymmärrä miksi kaikki ovat niin hulluna OPIn lakkoihin. Suurin osa niistä ei ole kovinkaan peittäviä eikä kestäviä. Opin kynsilakat ovat myös todella kalliita Suomessa. Mielestäni China Glaze-kynsilakat ovat huomattavasti paremman laatuisia, tämä on kuitenkin vain oma mielipide.

Mikä on teidän mielestänne laadukkain kynsilakkamerkki?

When I got these nail polishes I was sure I'd like I'm Suzi & I'm a chocoholic the least. But after trying all of them, it's the only one that I like. I'm Suzi & I'm a chocoholic is a dark, shiny brick red. I only needed 2 layers for complete coverage. Cuckoo For This Color is a shimmery teal and Bling Dynasty is a shimmery gold. I think they both have a pretty poor quality and I don't like the shades on my nails. Even two coats wasn't enough to cover (see pictures below).

I gotta say that I don't understand why everybody is so crazy about OPI. Most of it's polishes are not very durable and need multiple coats for full coverage. I like China Glaze polishes more. This is just my opinion.

Kyseessä on L'oreal ColorAppeal Trio Pro luomiväripaletti 409 Rosewood (ovh n. 11€). Ihan loistava luomiväripaletti. Tässä on pigmenttiä jopa paremmin kuin monissa kalleimmissa luomiväreissä. Sävyt ovat täydellisiä vihreille silmille. Pitäisi tutustua paremmin L'orealin luomiväreihin, niissä vaikuttaisi olevan hyvä hinta-laatu suhde. Suosittelen!

L'oreal ColorAppeal Trio Pro eyeshadow palette in 409 Rosewood (costs about 11€) is a great eyeshadow palette for green eyes. This is more pigmented than many high-end eyeshadows. These shades are perfect for green eyes. I should try out more L'oreal eyeshadows, it seams they are great value for the price. Recommend this to green-eyed people!

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream VS Holika Holika Petit BB Moisture

Tässä tuotevertailussa vertaillaan BB-voiteita, mikä on Suomessa aika uusi asia. Muualla maailmassa BB-voiteet ovat olleet esillä jo vuosia. BB-voiteiden tarkoituksena on olla all-in-one tuotteita, jotka peittävät, vaalentavat ihoa, ehkäisevät vanhentumista, suojavat auringolta, hoitavat ja kosteuttavat ihoa jne jne...Garnier taitaa olla ainut Suomen markkinoilla oleva BB-voide, Holika Holika Petit BB-voide on korealainen (kuten useimmat markkinoilla olevat BB-voiteet) ja sitä saa tilattua esim. Ebaysta 9$ hintaan. En sen enempää kerro BB-voiteista yleisesti, näistä löytää netistä hyvin tietoa jos kiinnostaa.

Minulla on Garnier Miracle skin perfector BB cream sävyssä light. Voide on kevyt ja läpikuultava. Garnierin BB-voidetta käytettäessä ei huomaa että iholla olisi meikkiä ollenkaan. Toisaalta se ei myöskään tee iholle kauhesti mitään sen enempää kuin sävyttävä päivävoide, tasoittaa ehkä ihon sävyä hieman, mutta ei siis peitä juuri ollenkaan. Garnier Miracle skin perfector BB cream muistuttaa minusta enemmän kosteusvoidetta, kuin meikkivoidetta. Tämä saattaa myös jättää hieman kiiltävän pinnan rasvaiselle iholle. Voide kosteutti ihan kivasti. Sävy light ei mielestäni ole kovin vaalea, vertaa esim. Holika Holikaan.

Holika Holika petit BB moisture spf 30 -voide on enemmän aito BB-voide. Se on sävyssä 01 light beige, en tiedä onko saatavilla muita sävyjä. Kun voidetta levittää iholle, se muistuttaa meikkivoidetta, itseasiassa jopa aika peittävää meikkivoidetta. Lisäksi Holika Holika petit BB moisture kosteuttaa, suojaa auringolta ja sen väitetään myös ehkäisevän ihon vanhentumista. Tämä BB-voide ei jätä yhtä luonnollista lopputulosta kuin Garnier. Minua häiritsee Holika Holika petit BB:n voimakas haju, se on hajuvesimainen, mutta minua se rupesi ällöttämään päivän mittaan. En tiedä mikä siinä on, kun nykyään hajustetaan meikkivoiteita niin voimakkaasti. Lisäksi sävy on aivan liian vaalea minulle (katso alla olevat kuvat).

BB-creams are meant to be all-in-one products that cover, lighten the skin color, are anti-aging, protect from the sun, treat and moisturize the skin etc etc.. I'm not gonna talk any more about BB-creams in general, you can easily find more information from online if intrested.

I have Garnier Miracle skin perfector BB cream in light. The cream has a light texture and looks sheen on the skin. With this it looks like there's no makeup on the skin at all, then again it also doesn't do the things that makeup does. In my opinion this is nothing more than a tinted day-cream, that evens the skin tone a little bit. Garnier Miracle skin perfector doesn't really cover much. This might also be a bit too shiny for greasy skin. It did moisturize my winter-damaged skin quite nicely. The shade is not very light, for example compared to Holika Holika.

Holika Holika petit BB moisture Spf 30 is more like a real BB-cream. I have it in 01 light beige. When the cream is applied on the skin, it feels more like a foundation, actually like a pretty pigmentet foundation. In addition to a good coverage Holika Holika petit BB moisture also moisturisez, protects from the sun and is said to have anti-aging effects. This BB-cream doesn't look as natural as Garnier on the skin. I was bothered by strong and fragrance-like smell of this BB-cream. It made me a little nauseous during the day. The shade is way too light for me (see the pictures below).

Olen etsinyt itselleni hyvää persikan väristä, luonnollista poskipunaa. Törmäsin ihan vahingossa Too Faced Papa don't peach poskipunaan, kun se oli huuto.netistä ostamassani kosmetiikkapaketissa. En ollut mitenkään kiinnostunut siitä aluksi, kun paketin ostin. Kun otin poskipunan käyttööni, huomasin että se onkin aivan täydellinen poskipuna. Se on oikein ihana luonnollinen persikan sävy - ei liian tumma eikä vaalea. Siitä jää poskille hento kultainen hohto. Papa don't peach myös kestää hyvin, jopa paremmin kuin Narsin Orgasm. Poskipuna on kauniissa magneettisessa pahvirasiassa, jossa on myös peili. Plussaa rasian keveydestä. Tätä ei tietääkseni myydä Suomessa, mutta netistä saa tilattua n. 20€:lla.

I've been looking for a nice natural, peachy blush. I accidentally ran into Too Faced Papa don't peach blush when it was in a makeup lot that I bought. I wasn't even interested in this item when I first bought the lot. But after starting to use this I realized that it's the perfect blush. Papa don't peach from Too Faced is a lovely sheer shade of peach, it's not too light or dark. It leaves a subtle golden glow on the cheek. This blush is quite long-lasting, I think it even lasts longer than Nars Orgasm. Papa don't peach is in a lovely magnetised case with a mirror, that's really light. You can order this online for about 20€.

Dior 5-couleurs eyeshadow palette sävyssä 970 Stylish Move on must have luomiväripaletti vihreille silmille Diorilta (ovh n.60€). Luomivärit tuovat vihreät silmät todella hyvin esiin. Kuten kuvasta näkee palettia on käytetty paljon, mutta otin kuitenkin kuvan, niin saatte käsityksen sävyistä. Luomivärit ovat runsaspigmenttisiä ja helposti häivytettäviä. Ei tästä sen enempää voi sanoakaan, alla swatchit ja silmämeikki, ilman pohjustusta.

As you can see from the picture, the palette has been well used, but I still took a picture so you can get an idea od the shades. Dior 5-couleurs palette in Stylish Move is well pigmented and blendable. Lashfood & Generic Latisse eyelash growth products

LashFood Eyelash conditioner & Careprost (generic Latisse)

Enormous lash minulla ei toiminut, joten seuraavaksi kokeillaan näitä. Lashfood on minulla ollut käytössä n. 3 viikkoa aamuisin ja iltaisin. Kolme päivää sitten rupesin iltaisin käyttämään Careprostia ja aamuisin Lashfoodia (Careprostia kuuluu käyttää vain iltaisin).

Lashfood (saatavilla esim. Stockmannilta n. 100€) on väritön ripsienhoitoaine/ripsiseerumi, jonka luvataan tekevän ripsistä terveemmät, vahvemmat ja edistävän niiden kasvua. Lashfoodissa on vaikuttavina aineina: arginiini, biotiini, trehaloosi, nikotiiniamidi ja pantenoli. Kolmen viikon käytön jälkeen huomaan itse pientä kasvua, mutta otan kuvia myöhemmin.

Latisse on ripsiä kasvattava, tummentava ha tuuheuttava aine, jota saa Amerikasta reseptillä. Siihen tosiaan saa reseptin ihan ripsien kasvatusta varten. Latissessa vaikuttavia ainesosia käytettiin alunperin glaukooman hoitoon tarkoitetuissa silmätipoissa, joiden käyttäjät huomasivat merkittävää ripsien kasvua sivuvaikutuksena (kerrankin lääkeaineessa on positiivinen sivuvaikutus). Siitä sitten kehitettiinkin Latisse, kosmeettiseen käyttöön. Ainoa ongelma asiassa on sen hinta, 30 päivän pakkaus maksaa Amerikassa yli 100$, euroopassa ainetta ei tietääkseni ole saatavilla ollenkaan. Latissesta onkin saatavissa myös analoginen valmiste -Careprost, siinä on siis samat ainesosat, mutta hinta on noin kymmenes Latissen hinnasta. Minulla onkin käytössäni Careprost. Molemmissa on mahdollisina sivuvaikutuksina ihon punoitus ja harvoissa tapauksissa myös ripsirajan tai silmän värjäytyminen. Mutta tämä on siis todennäköisesti sellainen aine, joka OIKEASTI kasvattaa ripsiä. Ainetta levitetään siveltimellä ripsirajaan, samalla tavalla kuin eyelineria.

Laitan enne ja jälkeen kuvia ja lisää juttua asiasta, kun olen käyttänyt ainetta kuukauden ajan, tai kun huomaan merkittävää kasvua aikasemmin.
Oletteko te käyttäneet jotain ripsiseerumia, joka oikeasti kasvattaisi ripsiä?

Enormous lash didn't work for me, so next I'm trying Lashfood eyelash conditioner and careprost (generic Latisse). I've used Lashfood for 3 weeks every night and day. 3 days ago I started using Careprost at nights and Lashfood in the mornings (careprost is only supposed to use at nights).

Lashfood is colourless eyelash conditioner that is said to make lashes healthier, stronger and promote their growth. The active ingredients in Lashfood are: nanopeptide complex, biotin, soy protein, herb extracts, arginine, gingo biloba. After 3 weeks of use I can see a little growth, but I'll take pictures later.

The active ingredient in Latisse was originally used in eyedrops, used to treat glaucoma. It's users noticed significant lengthening in their lashes as a side effect (not the worst possible side effect). Latisse solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. Latisse is very expensive, over 100$ for 30 days dosage. But there's available generic Latisse called Careprost, it has the same ingredients, but it's only 1/10 of it's price. So I am using Careprost right now. They both might have side effects like irritation, eyelid darkening and pigmentation of the iris. This is applied to the lash line, like eyeliner. But this is probably a solution that actually makes lashes longer.

MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad luomiväripaletti on vuoden 2008 Cherry Culture kokoelmasta, nykyään tätä on erittäin vaikea löytää mistään. Tässä luomiväripaletissa on todella kauniit sävyt. En pidä vaaleimmasta sävystä, koska sitä ei ihollani näy ollenkaan (katso kuva), mutta senkin puolesta kolme muuta ovat todella kauniita ja korostavat vihreitä silmiä hyvin. Spiced Chocolate paletissa, kuten lähes kaikissa MACin luomiväreissä on hyvä pigmentti ja näitä on myös helppo häivyttää. Luomivärit ovat myös todella pehmeitä. Miinus-puolena näissä on se, että ne kerääntyvät helposti luomivakoon (ilman pohjustusta), alla olevissa kuvissa luomiväri oli ollut silmissäni noin puoli tuntia ja luomiväri ehti jo kerääntyä luomivakoon. Jos kuitenkin käyttää hyvää pohjustusta, kuten UDPP niin ongelmaa ei ole.

MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad eyeshadow palette is from Cherry Culture 2008 collection, nowdays it's hard to find this palette from anywhere. The shades of these eyeshadows are really pretty, I don't really like the lighter shade since it doesn't show on my skin at all (see picture). But three other shades are really beautiful and they really bring out green eyes. Like most MAC eyshadows, Spiced Chocolate quad is very pigmented and blendable. The shadows are also nice and soft.
The only bad thing about this palette is that the shadows grease easily (without primer), in the pictures below I had the shadows on for 30 minutes and they were already greasing. If you use a good primer, like UDPP there is no problems.

Bourjois high-tech water-based liptint 82 Rouge futuriste

Olen kuullut paljon hyvää liptint-huuliväreistä ja halusinkin kokeilla sellaista. Luin monia arvosteluja erilaisista huuliväreistä ja päädyin lopulta Bourjois high-tech liptintiin sävyssä Rouge futuriste, joka on korallin punainen sävy. Tätä ei myydä Suomessa, mutta netistä saa tilattua n. 5€ hintaan, hintakaan tälle ei siis ole paha esim. Max Factorin liptintiin verrattuna.

En ole viime aikoina käyttänyt paljon huulituotteita, mutta tätä olen aina silloin tällöin huulille laittanut.
Eniten pidän Bourjois high-techissä siitä, että se imeytyy huuliin hetkessä, eikä sen kanssa tunnu että huulilla olisi meikkiä ollenkaan. Lopputulos on matta ja suhteellisen luonnollinen. Tämä on myös todella pitkäkestoinen, huuliväri ei lähtenyt edes ruokailun jälkeen. Bourjois high-tech liptint ei jättänyt jälkiä esim. lasiin, joka on myöskin plussaa. Suosittelen tätä kaikille, jotka haluaisi saada huuliin jotain väriä, mutta eivät pidä huulikiiltojen/huulipunien tahmaisesta tunteesta huulilla.

I've heard many good things about liptints and I wanted to try one myself. After reading reviews and comparing prices I ended up with Bourjois high-tech liptint in Rouge futuriste, it's a nice coral red shade. You can order this online for about 5€, so even the price is good compared to liptints from other brands.

I haven't used many lip products lately, except this every once in a while. What I like most about Bourjois high-tech is that it absorbs in my lips immediately and with this, it doesn't feel like I have any lip makeup on at all. It leaves a matte and quite natural result. This liptint is long-lasting, it doesn't even fade when I eat. Bourjois high-tech liptint also didn't leave any traces on the glass. I recommend thid to people that would like to have some color on their lips, but don't like the sticky feeling that lipglosses/lipsticks provide.

Lancome Ombre Absolue Bain D'or & Bare Minerals Glimmer True gold

Minulla oli jossain vaiheessa pakkomielteenä löytää täydellinen kultainen luomiväri. Se olikin aika vaikeata, sillä suurin osa kultaisista luomiväreistä on joko liian kellertäviä tai punertavia. Useiden kokeluiden jälkeen päädyin kahteen luomiväriin: Lancome Ombre Absolue Bain D'or ja Bare Minerals True gold.

Lancomen luomiväri on hieman punertavampi ja tummempi kulta, mutta pidän väristä kovasti. Luomivärin koostumuskin on pehmeä ja siinä on runsaasti pigmenttiä. Bare Minerals Glimmer Eyeshadow True Gold on mineraaliluomiväri, kuten nimikin kertoo se on aito kullan sävy. Bare Minerals True Gold on mielestäni kaunein kulta mitä olen nähnyt ja se on myös kimalteleva. Lancomen luomiväriä on helppo levittää koska se on kiinteässä muodossa ja helppo häivyttää. Bare Minerals saattaa varista kasvoille, tämän kanssa onkin järkevää käyttää luomivärinpohjustusta. Molemmissa on paljon pigmenttiä ja pysyvät luomilla pitkään.

Kummasta sävystä te tykkäätte enemmän ja tiedättekö vielä paremman kultaisen luomivärin?

Some time ago I was obsessed with finding myself a perfect gold eyeshadow. It was quite challanging because most gold eyeshadows are either too yellow or too warm. After experimenting with many shades I found two shades: Lancome Ombre Absolue Bain D'or and Bare Minerals Glimmer True gold.

Lancome Bain D'or is more copperish and darker shade. I really like the shade, the eyeshadow is very easy to apply and blend. True Gold, mineral eyeshadow is more real gold shade, like the name tells you. It also glitters, when Lancome is more metallic. Bare Minerals True Gold is the prettiest shade of gold that I've seen. The only problem with mineral eyeshadows is that they shed on your face, eyeshadow primer is a must with this. They both are well pigmented and long-lasting.

Which one do you like more or is there some other golden eyeshadow you like?

Biotin & Nails

Olen nyt syönyt biotiinia noin kuukauden ajan, eli puolet purkista. Vaikea sanoa vielä onko sillä mitään vaikutusta hiuksiini, mutta kynsiin se on ainakin tepsinyt. Viimeisten viikkojen aikana ne ovat kasvaneet hurjaa vauhtia ja ovat myös entistä vahvempia. Teen päivittäin paljon kotitöitä ja hoidan vauvaa. Joudun myöskin pesemään käsiä erittäin usein. Siitä huolimatta molempien käsien kaikki kynnet ovat todella hyvässä kunnossa ja suurinpiirtein samanpituisia.

I have been taking biotin-pills for about a month now, which is half of the jar. It's still a little early to say anything about its effect on my hair, but it's definitely doing something for my nails. My nails have been growing extremely fast and they are also much stronger than before. I do a lot of chores everyday and take care of my baby, I also have to wash my hands very often. Despite that, the nails on my both hands are in an excellent condition and are all about the same length.

Tässä on suosittu Nars poskipuna/highlighter/aurinkopuuteri-varjostus paletti. Nämä taitavat olla Narsin suosittuimpia sävyjä kustakin tuoteryhmästä, en kyllä ihmettele. Yleensä en pidä tällaisista paleteista, koska harvoin pidän kaikista niissä olevista sävyistä. Tämä Narsin trio on kuitenkin todella käytännöllinen paletti ja uskonkin että nämä värit sopivat useimmille.

Poskipuna on sävyssä Orgasm, joka on persikka/pinkki ja sisältää hienoa kultaista kimalletta. Tämä antaa poskille kauniin luonnollisen hehkun. Siinä ei kuitenkaan ole kauheasti pigmenttiä, eipäs ole ainakaan sitä vaaraa että laittaisi liikaa.
Highlighter (sävyssä Albatross) jättää vaalean kultaisen hohdon ja se levittyy todella pehmeästi, tästä pidän itse ehkä eniten.
Aurikopuuteri on sävyssä Laguna, se on viileä ruskea, joka on aika lähellä mattaa. Tämä on aika vaalea sävy, ja sopii hyvin varjostuksiin. Pidän itse kuitenkin vähän tummemmista sävyistä, koska tuntuu että näitä vaaleita, joutuu laittaa enemmän.

This is a popular Nars trio palette for the face, it has 3 of the bestselling face products. I like all of these shades and I think that each one of these shades will be good for almost every skin tone.
A blush in Orgasm, it's a peachy pink with subtle golden sheen. This will give your cheeks a very natural glow. It's not very pigmented in color, so there's no need to worry about applying too much of it.
A Highlighter in Albatross, white with a subtle golden sheen. I love this product, it's very soft and pigmented.
A bronzer in Laguna, it's a cool-toned light brown, almost matte. It's good for lighter skin tones, but I don't think it's very well pigmented.

Ylhäällä Isadora Inliner Kajal 52 Indian dark brown, ja alhaalla 51 Indian black (ovh 9,50€).

Olen kokeillut todella (!) monia silmänrajauskyniä sisärajauksiin, mm. seuraavilta merkeiltä Lancome, Clarins,L'oreal, Make Up For Ever, Lorac, Rimmel jne jne. Kokeilemani Clarinsin rajaukynä oli ihan hyvä, mutta hävitin sen eikä sitä enää kaupoista löydy :( Muuten mikään edellä mainituista ei ole ensinnäkään näyttänyt intensiiviseltä tai sitten pysynyt silmissä. Puhumattakaan siitä, että hyviä ruskeita silmänrajauskyniä on ihan mahdotonta löytää.

Isadoran inlinerit ovat ihan loistavia! Kynistä lähtee todella intensiivinen väri ja ne pysyy silmissä koko päivän. Mikä parasta, niitä ei ole hinnallakaan pilattu. Harmi vaan, että värivalikoima on niin suppea (näiden lisäksi 2 vaaleaa sävyä).

Onko teillä ehdotuksia hyvistä silmän sisärajauskynistä?

Above the brown one and below the black (costs about 9,5€). I have tried many eyeliner pencils for my inner rims, for example from the following brands: Lancome, Clarins, L'oreal, Make Up For Ever, Lorac, Rimmel etc. The limited eyeliner pencil from Clarins was actually pretty good, but I lost it, and you can't find it anywhere anymore:( Otherwise none of the previous has looked intensive enough or stayed for more than few hours. It's especially hard to find good brown eyepencils for the inner rim.

These 2 eyeliners are just awesome! The colours are really intensive and they stay in your inner rim for the whole day! What's best about these pencils is that they're not even expensive. Too bad they only have 4 shades.

Onnistuin noin vuosi sitten pilaamaan hiukseni totaalisesti ottamalla hiuksiini permiksen ( joo tiedän :D ). Sen jälkeen hiuksissani ei näkynyt juuri ollenkaan kiharia vaan ne ovat pelkästään olleet todella huonossa kunnossa ja olen joutunut leikkaamaan niitä ihan liikaa. Nyt ne ei enää ole niin huonossa kunnossa, mutta minua häiritsee hiusteni lyhyys. Tällä hetkellä hiukseni ovat vain hieman olkapäätä pidemmät, huonoin puoli tässä on se, että ne kasvaa erittäin hitaasti. Sikäli olenkin aloittanut hiustenkasvatus projektin.

Olen kuullut että Biotiini, joka on b-vitamiinivalmiste vahvistaa hiuksia sekä auttaa niitä kasvamaan. Olenkin jo jonkin aikaa syönyt sitä, odotan kuitenkin että purkki (60kpl) loppuu ennen kuin kerron tuloksista. Huom! Monet käyttävät eläimille tarkoitettua biotiinia, josta ei ihmisillekään mitään haittaa ole (varmistin asian apteekkarilla), koska se sisältää enemmän biotiinia, mutta löysin netistä ihmisille tarkoitetun tuotteen, joka sisältää yhtä paljon ainetta - Vitabalans Oy Biotiini Strong. Ovh n. 12€.

Lisäksi, kampaaja-ystäväni suositteli Cutrin Bio+ Energen Shampoota, joka hänellä kuulemma nopeutti hiustenkasvua. Ostin myös kyseisen shampoon ja olen ruvennut käyttämään sitä. Ovh n.15€ (esim Sokokselta saa).

Jos kasvu nyt nopeutuisi, niin olisi vaikeata sanoa kummasta se johtuu, mutta se nyt ei haittaa, kunhan jotain tapahtuisi :) Tuloksista siis lisää myöhemmin!

I managed to ruin my hair about a year ago by taking a perm, after that I've had to cut my hair way too much. Right now my hair is a little over shoulder in length, and I would love to get my long hair back as soon as possible. So I've started a hair growth project.

I've started to take biotin-vitamins, that are supposed to make hair stronger and help them grow faster. I'm gonna wait until the jar is finished, until I write about the results (60pcs, cost me about 12€). In addition to that, my hairdresser-friend recommended me a shampoo that she said made her hair grow faster, I've also read good reviews about this shampoo so I started using it too. The shampoo is called Cutrin Bio+ Energen Shampoo and costs about 15€. Below I have pictures of biotin-pills and the shampoo. I will update about the results later!

Ainoa miinuspuoli tässä huulipunassa on huono kestävyys, lähti minulta 2 tunnissa..

This lipstick has a very beautiful packaging, black with white flower-print. This shade is a nice, natural pink that complimantes your skin. It's not a traditional nude-tone, it gives a little color for the face. It looks sheen on the lips, it does have some pigment too. It didn't dry my lips and I liked the 'lipsticky' smell. The only bad thing about this is that it only lasted for 2 hours. the picture below is with out a lipliner.

Nämä ovat amerikkalaisia (ja puolet halvempia) versioita Max Factorin Falsh Lash Effect ja Lash Extension Effect -ripsiväreistä. Lashblast Volume tekee ripsiin näyttävämpää jälkeä ja varsinkin ruskeana Lashblast Length näyttää hyvin luonnolliselta. Ruskea ripsiväri onkin loistava nude-meikkiin tai jos ei halua näyttää meikatulta ollenkaan.

Joidenkin mielestä tämä saattaisi olla hankalaa, mutta on olemassa monia kaksipuolisia mascaroita tai pohjustajia, näiden käyttäminen ei ole sen hankalampaa.Vasemmalla Lashblast Length volumen päällä ja oikealla toisinpäin (yhteensä siis 2 kerrosta).

But when I want my lashes to have an extra dramatic look I just use both of the mascaras on top of eachother. On the left i have Lashblast Length over Volume and vice versa on the right, no difference in my opinion.

Diorilta on lähiaikoina tulossa uusi mascara, nimeltä Diorshow New Look. En malta odottaa, että saan tämän käsiini. Tässä ripsivärissä on uutuus nano-harja, jolla pitäisi saada tuuheutta ja pituutta jokaiseen ripseen. Mikä parasta, Diorshow New Look mascara sisältää lisäksi hoitavaa seerumia. Suuret odotukset siis tälle ripsivärille.

Pidän Diorin ripsivärien koostumuksesta, mutta en ole tykännyt niiden isoista harjoista. New Lookissa vaikuttaisi olevan pienempi ja kumimainen harjasosa, joten tämä saattaisi olla mieluisampi.

En ole pitänyt itseäni kynsilakka-ihmisenä, mutta MUS Greta hologrammi kynsilakka sai minut hurahtamaan kynsilakkoihin, olen erityisen kiinnostunut kimalteisista ja hologrammi kynsilakoista. Tällä kynsilakalla saa todella hienon vivahdeikkaan hologrammi-effektin.

Pohjustuksena käytän Make Up Store Aqua Fix aluslakkaa. Olen kuullut hologrammi-lakkojen huonosta levittyvyydestä, mutta minulla ei ollut Gretan kanssa mitään ongelmaa, peittävyyskin on hyvä. Alla olevissa kuvissa on aluslakan päällä kaksi kerrosta kynsilakkaa.

Oletteko te kokeillut hologrammi-lakkoja ja mitä?

This is a pretty close dupe for the vhtf Chanel Holographic nail polish. I also bought MUS Aqua Fix, which makes holographic polishes look even more holo. This polish will give your nails an awesome multi-color holo effect, I really started to like holographic polishes because of this. I've heard that Gosh holographic is not easy to apply but I didn't have any problems with this. I only needed 2 coats of polish to get a perfect coverage.
On the pictues below I first have my bare nails and then one coat of Aqua Fix and 2 of Greta.

Have you tried holographic nail polishes or Chanel dupes?

Käytin 2 kuukautta joka aamu ja joka ilta Beauty Society Enormous Lash Eyelash enchancing serum conditioner ripsienkasvatus-seerumia. Ripsiseerumi maksaa Suomessa n. 100€, se näyttää eyelinerilta ja sitä myös käytetään samalla tavalla.

I used Beauty Society Enormous Lash Eyelash enchancing serum conditioner for 2 months, every night and every morning. This works the same way as an eyeliner, it costs about 100€.

Kuten kuvistakin näkyy, niin seerumilla ei ollut mitään vaikutusta ripsiini. Noinkin kallis tuote, mutta valitettavasti omalla kohdallani osoittautui aivan turhaksi. Mitään eroa ei myöskään näy meikatuissa ripsissä. En kuitenkaan aio luovuttaa vielä ripsien kasvatuksen saralla ja lisää postauksia ripsiseerumeista tulossa.

I took the pictures with different cameras. As you can see from the pictures, this lash serum had no effect on my lashes what so ever. It was completely useless for me, just a waste of time and money. I'm not going to give up on trying to get some length in my lashes, I already have other products in use and will tell more about them later.

Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Poudre Libre Review

Nyt tähän blogiin on tullut aika paljon hehkutuksia, kai se on mielenkiintoisempaa kirjoittaa tuotteista, joista tykkää. Kriittisempiäkin arvosteluja on kuitenkin tulossa.

Kyseessä on siis Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Poudre Libre rajausjauhe 01 Noir. Tämä on tosiaankin jauhemainen rajaustuote, jota levitetään tikulla. Tätä voi käyttää sekä ulko- että sisärajauksien tekemiseen. Itse käytän ulkorajauksiin kuitenkin mieluummin nestemäistä rajausta, jolla saa aikaan tarkempaa jälkeä. Sisärajauksiin tämä on silti ihan must have.

Terracotta Kohl Poudre Libre on tosiaankin irtonaista mustaa puuteria, jota levitetään silmiin 'dippaamalla' tikkua säiliöön. Moni ei varmaan kuvittelisikaan laittavansa tällaista terävää tikkua silmien lähelle, olin itsekin epäileväinen, mutta uskokaa pois tämä ei ole sen monimutkaisempaa kuin kynärajaus. Netissä tämän käyttöön on lukuisia ohjeita, tätä voi nimittäin käyttää kahdella tavalla, itse olen kuitenkin käyttänyt tuotetta ihan samalla tavalla kuin kajaalia. Tällä saa intensiivisen ja pitkäkestoisen sisärajauksen, minulla tämä kestää huomattavasti pidempään kuin kynärajaukset. Näitä on saatavilla muissakin väreissä, itselläni on tämän lisäksi ruskea, aion kyllä hankkia muitakin värejä. Hintaa tälle on n. 38€ Stockmannilla.

This is certainly one of the best eyeliner I've used for inner rims. It's a powder that you can use on your inner rims and as a regular eyeliner. It looks strange and it's not very tempting to put a plastic sharp stick near your eye, but believe me it's not any more complicated than using a pencil. I have this in 01 Noir.

It was great for inner rims, but I wouldn't use this for lining my lids since it's not very intense like that and it sheds. On inner rims it's perfect, the color is intense and it stays on for the whole day. The price is a little high for an eyeliner though, 38€. On the picture I've used it both as a lid liner and on the inner rim.

Urban Decay Primer Potion Sin on erikoisversio supersuositusta urban decayn luomivärinpohjustuksesta. Tämä on shamppanjan värinen ja kimalteinen. Kuten alkuperäinenkin versio, tämä on aivan loistotuote. Tuote todellakin pitää luomivärin luomilla vaikka kuinka kauan, itse en ole tämän kanssa saanut luomiväriä suttaantumaan ollenkaan. Vaikka olisikin jäänyt meikit päälle koko yöksi, niin UDPP:n aamulla vieläkin luomiväri näyttää hyvältä eikä luomiväriä mennyt luomivakoon vaan lopulta se enemmänkin haalistui.Tän päälle luomiväri myös levittyy hyvin.

Urban Decay Primer Potion on myös vedenkestävä, kun laitoin tästä swatchin käteen se ei hävinnyt edes silloin kun pesin kädet saippualla. Meikinpoistoaineella se kuitenkin lähtee helposti. En kauheasti tykkää tästä sävystä, koska se mielestäni muuttaa luomivärien sävyt vähän kylmemmäksi, haluaisinkin kokeilla UDPP:n alkuperäistä versiota sekä Greed-versiota, joka on lämmin kultainen.
Tätä ei tietääkseni myydä Suomessa, mutta nettikaupoista saa tilattua alle 20€:lla.

Urban Decay Primer Potion Sin is a limited edition version of the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion, eyeshadow primer. This a cool, shimmery champagne shade.
Like the original one, this is a great product! It does exactly what it says: keeps the eyeshadow without greasing for the whole day (and more), the shadows are also more vibrant when applied on the primer. I have never managed to get my eyeshadow to grease with this product, no mater what eyeshadow I wear. The shadow just fades a little eventually. Urban Decay Primer Potion is also waterproof, after swatching this I washed my hands a couple of times with soap, but it didn't come off. But with a make up remover it comes off easily. The price is not too bad either.

I don't really like this shade anymore, I would like to try UDPP in Greed next. It costs less than 20€.

Purple Eyes Dior & Wet n Wild trio eye makeup&Swatches

Tässä ovat Wet n Wild luomiväritrio sävyssä Knock on wood ja Dior Amber plum. Näissä molemmissa on kauniit violetin/luumun sävyt, jotka korostaa hienosti vihreitä silmiä. Diorin luomivärissä on hienoista kultaista kimalletta ja siinä on hyvä pigmentti. Olen todella yllättynyt Wet n Wild luomivärien laadusta, näissä on hyvin pigmenttiä ja ne ovat erittäin pehmeitä ja hyvin levittyviä.

PS. Pahoittelen kuvien huonoa asettelua, en oikein osaa vielä käyttää tätä:/

Here are Wet n Wild trio in Knock on wood and Dior in Amber plum. Both have beautiful purple shades. Dior is more violet with golden glitter and Wet n wild palette is more plum.
I am really surprised of the quality of Wet n wild trio, it's very pigmented and easy to blend. I definitely need to get more of thesse.

Biotherm Biomains Handcream the best I've tried! Review

Kyseessä on Biotherm Biomains age delaying hand&nail treatment käsivoide (ovh Sokoksella 15,50€, 50ml).
Olen kokeillut aikasemmin monenlaisia käsivoiteita vaikka en ole juuri kokeillut tarvetta käyttää sellaista säännöllisesti. Nyt kun pienen vauvani takia joudun jatkuvasti pesemään käsiä ja muutenkin olen paljon tekemisissä veden kanssa, käteni ovat aivan rutikuivia ja välillä niihin tulee jopa haavoja kuivuuden takia.

Minulla oli kotona The Body Shopin hamppu sekä ruusu-käsivoiteet. Ruusu-käsivoide ei tehnyt mulle juuri mitään, se tuoksui hyvälle ja imeytyi hyvin, mutta muuta vaikutusta en huomanutkaan. Hamppu-käsivoiteen ostin muiden hehkutuksen takia, mutta minulle sekään ei toiminut, sen tuoksu on makuuni aivan liian voimakas ja se jättää kädet rasvaiseksi. Tuoksu ei lähtenyt käsistä edes parin pesun jälkeen.

Päätin kokeilla Biothermin käsivoidetta, kun se oli Sokoksella tarjouksessa. Täytyy sanoa että voide on aivan täydellinen minulle, tuoksu ei ole liian voimakas, voide imeytyy käsiin hetkessä ja mikä tärkeintä se huomattavasti kosteuttaa käsiä. Kosteustehon huomaa vielä silloinkin kun kädet pesee. Aivan loistotuote siis. Ainoa huono puoli tässä on hinta, kokoon nähden.

Tiedättekö halvempia hyviä käsivoiteita?

This is Biotherm Biomains age delying hand&nail treatment hand cream, 50ml costs about 15,5€ (expensive). I like this very much. I've tried The Body Shop hand creams before, but this is much better. It smells nice, but not too strong. It absorbs in your skin immedietly and doesn't leave your hands greasy. Even after you wash your hands, they still feel mosturized and soft. Too bad it's so expensive.

Do you know any cheaper dupes?

Christian Dior Blue Tie make up palette 001 Smoking Blue Swatches

Tämä on rajoitttu erä Christian Diorin 2011 Syksy kokoelmasta (hinta n 70€). Kun näin tämän paletin ensimmäistä kertaa, tiesin että minun olisi se ostettava. En yleensä pidä sinisävyisistä luomiväreistä, mutta juuri nämä sinisen sävyt ovat ihania. Kuten suurin osa Diorin luomiväreistä, myös nämä ovat runsaspigmenttisiä, hyvin kestäviä ja pehmeitä. Huulikiiltoa en ole vielä kokeillut, joten siitä lisää myöhemmin.

This is limited edition Blue tie palette from Dior fall 2011 make up collection (cost me about 70€). These eyeshadows are nicely pigmented and have a blendable texture. I didn't try the lipgloss yet.

Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF20 Review and Swatch

Tässä on Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk Foundation meikkivoide. Minulla on tämä meikkivoide GWP-koossa, joten yläpuolella on kuva myyntikoosta. Tämä on ensimmäinen Armanin meikkituote jota olen kokeillut, mutta ei varmastikaan viimeinen. Omani on sävyssä #4, joka sopii hyvin vaalealle iholleni (hinta Stockmannilla n. 50€).

Lasting silk meikkivoide lupaa antaa kestävän ja luonnollisen silkkisen lopputuloksen, ja pakko sanoa että tämän se myös tekee. Iholle levitettäessä tämä ikään kuin sulaa kasvojen ihoon. Kasvot eivät näytä meikatuilta, mutta mikä tekee tästä erityisen on se, että kasvot eivät myöskään tunnu meikatuilta. Iho tuntuu vain entistä pehmeämmältä ja silkkisemmalta. Meikkivoide myös kestää hyvin, ainakin 8 tuntia sen näköisenä että se olisi juuri levitetty, kesto tietenkin riippuu myös siitä mitä päivän aikana tekee.

Kuulostaa melkein liian hyvältä ollakseen totta, ja minun kohdalla se myös on. Armani Lasting Silk on todella voimakkaasti hajustettu, tuoksu on hyvä -hajuvesimainen, mutta voimakkain mitä olen meikkivoiteessa aikasemmin haistanut. Oma ihoni ei tästä tykännyt, meikkivoiteen levitys sai silmäni hieman vuotamaan ja iholla tuntui myös kirvelyä. Lasting Silk on hyvä meikkivoide jollekin, joka haluaa peittävän ja kestävän, mutta silti luonnollisen lopputuloksen. Herkkäihoiselle en tätä kuitenkaan suosittelisi.

Here's Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk Foundation in shade #4. This is the first Armani make up product that I've tried, but I will definitely get more in the future. This shade is almost perfect for my pale skin color.

Lasting Silk Foundation promises to provide a lasting and naturally silky result on your face. I have to say that that is exactly what it does. When using this it felt like I didn't have any make up on my face at all. My face only felt silky and soft. Armani Lasting Silk has a great coverage and it lasts long, even after 8 hours it looked like it was just applied.
But I can't wear this foundation. Lasting Silk has a very powerful scent to it, it's nice like a fragrance, but for me it's just way too strong. This also made my eyes water a bit and I had a tingeling feeling on my skin.
Overall Armani Lasting Silk is a great foundation, but I wouldn't recommend it for a sensitive skin.
